The women of the Fulani or Peul tribe from Mali, West Africa wear these traditional earrings meanly in gold and in very large sizes. So large that they don't wear them in the ear but suspended from the hair.
These smaller and more wearable sizes are made by a Malinese jeweller in a traditional manner. The jeweller hammers these earrings out of one piece of metal.
