This is a highly detailed piece of buddhist art. A full bronze and partly fire gilted statue of the Buddha Akshobhya. Identified by the position of his hands he is also known as the lord of the east and the eternally imperturbable.
Here he is seated on a dubble lotus throne, a piece that has been seperately cast. This entire piece has been cast in the lost wax method thus making it a unique work of art.
All the gold seen on this Buddha statue is actual gilt except for the face which has been painted on with gold paint. All in all a very attractive statue with fine facial features and a good size.
